haha thanks. yeah i live with a girl that i went to high school with. nah, i don’t really party.. it never really appealed to me but if you wanna party it’s always gonna be there. plus i feel like if i party a lot, i’m gonna slack off on work & i would feel guilty cuz college is so expensive and i’m here to learn & get a good education so i can get a good job, not party every night. plus that whole world can get dangerous.. but idk, it’s never appealed to me. most of my close friends never partied either but we still all have soo much fun. i think it’s lame if people don’t know how to have a good time w/o drugs or alcohol, you know? enjoy your senior year, it goes by soo fast! faster than you’ll be able to fathom.
you have a very smart way of thinking when it comes to partying. i think thats how im feeling about high school but like, its not about the money or such. its SENIORIOUS. :[ do you at least go clubbing? hahaha yeah, i cant believe its already october. crazy shit. haha my homecoming is coming up soon. :[ no date, so ima ask my friends to come and dress up as THE POWER RANGERS. muahaha :D im excited. hahaha. but yeah, druggies & alcohol is alright but not like EVERY SINGLE PARTY. i never took drugs. T.T soo. im half good!

haha what poster is it? i think the most i ever WANTED to spend on a poster was a michael jackson poster [$45+S&H] but after that i was like fuck it! and found it at a cheaper price. T.T but yeah :D girls do a few crazy stuff for guys :D

here we go again & agreeing with each other. the video was completely STUPID. i watched half of it and just closed the window. you’re right, it was like an orgy fest in that video. i was kinda shocked because they made it soo… much better than it was. just hyped it up and expectations were too high up… then the video just proved to not get excited for stuff like that. Katy perry, she’s hot and all but nooo i dont like the song. im pretty sure its a club remix or so. i rather stick to the original also since well the first is usually better than the rest, in my opinion :]

nope i don’t have a poster of them… i don’t even know if they have a legit poster of the 2 of them. i know they have posters promoting their shows and stuff but i’ve never seen one where it’s a picture of both of then. haha yeah i have a couple videos of them performing at warped tour but they’re not that great quality. oh well.. but at least i have some cool pics of them :)

haha youre so AWESOME! haha totally agree with everything you have to say. i remember passing by this small ass stage in the corner of the whole place and man was the guy hot! ;] i dont know what band he was from but he was SUREE hot. :D & i was standing there smiling and watching him and i saw him smiling and singing to me a couple of times. ;] YUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. hahaha thank god for that moment that small stages existed. haha. and for small crowds. aww now i miss warped tour. ICP is funny shit. haha they talk so much shit and a lot of it is perverted. last week, me and my friend tuned in to a radio station where they were answering a bunch of perverted ass questions, man, I HAVE THEIR TEE SHIRT ON RIGHT NOW. hahaha ironic. & yeah, some bands that arent so big/popular get the smaller stages. i felt really bad for them because they would have like 20 people that theyre performing for, while right next to them, there are like… 500+ :[ i would just quit and stop playing.
haha i love when bands are funny. it just makes them so much more enjoyable. being a kind of established band playing on a small stage can sometimes serve as an ego-booster though (i would think) since if there’s a ton of people surrounding their stage, it looks like they’re doing really well. but yeah i agree that it would be better to be on the mainstage. bands on the mainstage seem like they draw in huge crowds regardless of whether or not everyone watching is a fan, but because some people just think “oh well what’s so great about them that they’re on the mainstage? they must be good then” or something along those lines :)

LOL. i heard somewhere that sometimes, bands who haven’t quite made it that big yet get the option of playing mainstage but for only half the tour, or they can play one of the smaller stages for the whole duration of the tour. that’s just what i’ve heard though so i can’t tell ya if that’s really how it goes.. it doesn’t seem too unbelievable though. lol i never really got into ICP.. idk, i just never checked out their music. but i’m sure they’re good :)

i was going through the “popular” part on tumblr and just browsing and it occurred to me that some people have more than 1 account for themselves just so they can “like” and “reblog” stuff only for the sake of increasing tumblarity.
seriously, is tumblarity really THAT important? don’t people have better things to do than manage 2 accounts? lol i don’t think i would have the time to do that..

i don’t understand how people like a band when they’re not popular yet, then all of a sudden, they blow up and some people are like “oh i hate them, they’re annoying now that they’re all mainstream.” wow you’re cool, i guess to be indie, it’s against the rules to like a band that makes it big.
honestly, i’ve been a fan of 3OH!3 ever since i happened to catch their set during warped tour 2008. i had no idea who they were at the time, but i eventually found out (i don’t remember how.) but anyway, their 2nd album WANT wasn’t out yet, so i just torrented it because i couldn’t wait! now they’re super popular and them having way more fans does have its disadvantages like: harder time getting tix to shows, their set being a lot more crowded, harder to meet/talk to them, etc.
their single “don’t trust me” was just picked up— they weren’t pushing it to get on top 40 stations; people just heard it and it eventually caught on to the masses. the music is still the same, they’re still the same guys deep down, so what is it? why are fans now saying they “sold out?” i suppose just because they’re now top 40. but if that was their goal from the start, all of their songs would sound like “don’t trust me” and they wouldn’t have such an explicit album, in order for it to be picked up on top 40 stations.
i don’t think i will understand why people get angry at bands for “selling out” or changing their sound. bands can either change their sound because they’re bored of what they sound like, and/or they need to sell records. music is their career, and if they didn’t have music, some of them won’t have anything to fall back on. they need to make a living somehow.
as long as the music’s still good, be a fan— despite how popular they may get.
this post isn’t solely about 3OH!3; this goes for any other musician that is no longer “cool,” or has “sold out.”
fans can get annoying, but musicians don’t have much control over who enjoys their music, so don’t take it out on them.
i totally agree with you. but sometimes, it just gets annoying. ive known 3oh!3 way back then when their tickets sold for $13. but now theyre super expensive. and it’s sort of crazy how one person can hear a song, then go super crazy and buy their merchandise and stuff. and the sad part… they only know 3 of their songs T.T lame.
yeah, i’m guilty of not liking increasing popularity either. their smaller, intimate shows were a lot better too because you actually had fans who knew ALL (or most) of their songs & were with them from the very start. the most recent time i saw them play live, it was when don’t trust me was already on top 40 stations and seriously, i felt like i was the ONLY one in the crowd who was screaming the lyrics & dancing around and stuff. it’s like everyone else only knew a few songs, if they even knew any ones other than don’t trust me =/

yeah the devil wears prada played before them so we got to the end of their set and just waited, but unfortunately we weren’t early enough and couldn’t get to the front.. which warped tour did u go to? i was at the one in ventura, ca at seaside park. it wasn’t hot at all, it was actually breezy and people were in jackets & stuff. but as soon as 3oh!3 came on, i started jumping and dancing around so it got hot, lol
warped tour 09 SAN DIEGO, CA! :D!! NOFX was on before 3OH!3. and gosh, i think NOFX was kinda mean T.T lol. but it’s w.e. & dudee it was HOT AS HECK in san diego well at the concert anyways. but when they started throwing water everywhere, :] i felt better! hahaha.

SD is so pretty though, i love it there. haha i’m not surprised that NOFX were kinda mean.. what were they saying/doing? i used to be a NOFX fan but i just got tired of them bc they were always being mean and soo opinionated to the point where it sounded condescending and i just got tired of hearing what they had to say and how disrespectful they were, haha.

i don’t understand how people like a band when they’re not popular yet, then all of a sudden, they blow up and some people are like “oh i hate them, they’re annoying now that they’re all mainstream.” wow you’re cool, i guess to be indie, it’s against the rules to like a band that makes it big.
honestly, i’ve been a fan of 3OH!3 ever since i happened to catch their set during warped tour 2008. i had no idea who they were at the time, but i eventually found out (i don’t remember how.) but anyway, their 2nd album WANT wasn’t out yet, so i just torrented it because i couldn’t wait! now they’re super popular and them having way more fans does have its disadvantages like: harder time getting tix to shows, their set being a lot more crowded, harder to meet/talk to them, etc.
their single “don’t trust me” was just picked up— they weren’t pushing it to get on top 40 stations; people just heard it and it eventually caught on to the masses. the music is still the same, they’re still the same guys deep down, so what is it? why are fans now saying they “sold out?” i suppose just because they’re now top 40. but if that was their goal from the start, all of their songs would sound like “don’t trust me” and they wouldn’t have such an explicit album, in order for it to be picked up on top 40 stations.
i don’t think i will understand why people get angry at bands for “selling out” or changing their sound. bands can either change their sound because they’re bored of what they sound like, and/or they need to sell records. music is their career, and if they didn’t have music, some of them won’t have anything to fall back on. they need to make a living somehow.
as long as the music’s still good, be a fan— despite how popular they may get.

fans can get annoying, but musicians don’t have much control over who enjoys their music, so don’t take it out on them.
i totally agree with you. but sometimes, it just gets annoying. ive known 3oh!3 way back then when their tickets sold for $13. but now theyre super expensive. and it’s sort of crazy how one person can hear a song, then go super crazy and buy their merchandise and stuff. and the sad part… they only know 3 of their songs T.T lame.
yeah, i’m guilty of not liking increasing popularity either. their smaller, intimate shows were a lot better too because you actually had fans who knew ALL (or most) of their songs & were with them from the very start. the most recent time i saw them play live, it was when don’t trust me was already on top 40 stations and seriously, i felt like i was the ONLY one in the crowd who was screaming the lyrics & dancing around and stuff. it’s like everyone else only knew a few songs, if they even knew any ones other than don’t trust me =/
yeah, im glad that i went to their shows back then. holding hands with both of them made me the luckiest girl! :D& youre awesome for screaming the lyrics! :] i went to the warped tour 09 for them& a few others. mann i was like… 3 people away from front row! :D it was like i can feel their sweat dripping on me. hahahaha.
ahh that’s so cool :) ugh for warped i couldn’t get to the front cuz sooo many people were there! it was packed. and most of them only knew them from want.. they should have arranged the area by letting the fans who have been with them the longest be up front lol jk that would be impossible… but yeah they have amazing stage presence.. i love how nat just pretty much spazzes out and they both go CRAZY on stage! :)

yeah the devil wears prada played before them so we got to the end of their set and just waited, but unfortunately we weren’t early enough and couldn’t get to the front.. which warped tour did u go to? i was at the one in ventura, ca at seaside park. it wasn’t hot at all, it was actually breezy and people were in jackets & stuff. but as soon as 3oh!3 came on, i started jumping and dancing around so it got hot, lol

i’ve liked 3OH!3 for a while now, even their old stuff (hence the username) but i think it’s kinda mean to call out the kids like that who barely started liking them now. yeah it gets REALLY annoying sometimes, but we’re (the fans from the start) not the only ones who have the right to be 3OH!3’s fans :)
also i don’t understand what a “wannabe” fan is— either you’re a fan, or you’re not, right? i like the intention though.
